RuyakCherian LLP is pleased to announce that Ronald Wielkopolski has been elevated to a partner position in the Washington, DC office of the firm, effective October 1, 2021.

“Ron has been with us nearly since the firm was founded, and we have been so happy to witness his growth during that time,” said co-founding partner Sunny Cherian. “There are few attorneys who work as hard or are as dedicated to client success as Ron. His contributions have been invaluable to the firm, and we look forward to what he can accomplish as a partner.”

Ron Wielkopolski is an experienced litigator with an emphasis on patent litigation, representing clients in courts throughout the country as well as before the Internal Trade Commission and Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Since joining RuyakCherian as an associate in early 2016, Mr. Wielkopolski has been an integral part of the RuyakCherian team and strong advocate for its clients.

Mr. Wielkopolski is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Maryland, the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Texas, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and is also registered as a patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Wielkopolski was born and raised in Alaska, but has since lived in California, Poland, and the Washington, DC area. Mr. Wielkopolski received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in Molecular & Cell Biology and History, an M.A. from Georgetown University in History and a J.D. from the George Washington University.
