Adam Allgood

Mr. Allgood is Of Counsel in our Washington, D.C. office. He is an experienced trial lawyer with over a decade of experience in a variety of forums. He has tried patent cases to verdict, cross-examined technical expert witnesses, argued numerous Markman hearings, and deposed and defended witnesses and experts in Section 337 investigations before the ITC. He has drafted inter partes review petitions and argued final hearings before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board.

After law school, Mr. Allgood first served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. There, he tried numerous Federal Court civil trials to jury verdicts—many as first chair trial counsel—and argued before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

As a former software engineer, Mr. Allgood is a prolific writer on technical matters and the law. He has published numerous articles, been cited by publications such as Law.com, and is a frequent speaker at conferences regarding such issues as legal ethics, technology use, and international litigation strategies.
